I’m Julia, a qualified Five Element Acupuncturist, and I’m really pleased you’re here. Originally from Leeds, I relocated to Shropshire in my mid-20s.
My background is in science and education—I hold a BSc (Hons) in Microbial Science and a PGCE—and before becoming an acupuncturist, I spent several years working in the corporate sector. That experience gave me an understanding of high-pressure environments, the toll stress can take on both body and mind, and the importance of finding balance in daily life. Training at The Acupuncture Academy (TAA), where I was awarded a Professional Licentiate and highly commended in my clinical skills, felt like a natural step towards work that aligned with my values. I’m also a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council and DBS checked.
Beyond my work, I’m passionate about ethical living, sustainability, and making conscious choices that align with my values. Movement has always been important to me—I love dance and have recently started learning the piano, which is proving both a challenge and a joy!
In my acupuncture practice, I focus on supporting emotional well-being, stress, and physical health, offering a calm, grounded space where you can rebalance and reconnect with yourself. If you’d like to know more, feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you.
I came to acupuncture as a patient for both physical pain and emotional wellbeing support. Treatment has been transformative in my own experience which led and inspired me to train as acupuncturist myself.
I treat with a person centred approach, treating the whole person and not individual symptoms. I provide a respectful, calm and relaxing treatment space. You will be listened to and your treatments will be individualised to you.
I am a qualified acupuncturist and a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council. I have been awarded a professional licentiate from The Acupuncture Academy (TAA), where I was highly commended in my clinical skills. In addition to my acupuncture qualifications, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Microbial Science, a PGCE qualification, and I am DBS checked. My background in science and education, combined with my expertise in acupuncture, allows me to offer a well-rounded, evidence-informed, and holistic approach to healing.
I'm qualified in various adjunctive Chinese medicine techniques - moxibustion, facial enhancement acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, cupping and Gua Sha, Tui Na and Teishin.
As a member of The British Acupuncture Council I adhere to Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. I am registered with the Professional Standards Authority.
